Who We Are         

Bridget is currently living in Southern California and is 29 years old. A proud member of Slytherin house, Bridget is more than a little bit of a Draco Malfoy fan. She enjoys watching Absolutely Fabulous, What Not To Wear and home shows on BBC America. Being a bit more action than words, Bridge is (rightfully) in charge of planning this trip, and isn't afraid to start cracking down when Jude buckles under pressure. Never one to let things go undone, she demonstrated her ability to take matters into her own hands by fixing up the messageboard when Jude continued to put it off.

Jude resides in Phoenix, Arizona and is 20 years old. Apart from being a devout Harry Potter fan, she also adores Billy Boyd, Jack Davenport, Alan Rickman, Radiohead, Mary Poppins and so many other British things, there just isn't time to list them. She is also a proud member of Slytherin house, although she prefers Tom Riddle just a tad more than Draco Malfoy. She is also the designer and maintainer of this website, which may or may not be an admirable thing, considering how often she shirks her duties as webmaster. The post-trip documentary will likely be edited by her, with feedback from Bridget.

 

How We Met

Bridget and Jude met one lovely sunny day at Disneyland in February 2003 through a mutual interest: Star Wars. The Phoenix Fan Force, of which Jude has been an active member since two months after it's inception in late 2001, makes a point of visiting Disneyland at least once or twice annually. The San Diego Fan Force, of which Bridget was a member, arranged to meet the Phoenix Fan Force for a day of Disney fun. At some point while standing in line for the Matterhorn, Bridget, Jude, and Jude's friend Shazzer, realized they each also shared a love of Harry Potter, down to having their own Slytherin costumes. Except for Shazzer, who's a bloody Gryffindor, but we love her anyway.

Things escalated from there, and along with Shazzer, they conquered Comic Con International 2003 and somehow managed to contain themselves while in a room with Mark Hamill. Bridget even got a picture with him, the lucky girl.

Bridget, Jude and Shazzer (who is sadly unable to make this trip due to major financial strain) still keep in contact regularly, though they don't see each other nearly as often as they would like.

So there you have it, the story from the beginning. Fitting that we should finally become friends over something so English as Harry Potter. :)
